Mobility Plus Rehab Services started serving the metro Detroit area in 1997 with its first clinic in Warren, Michigan.
It was founded
by registered licensed physical therapists
Sanjay Rattan and Alka Khindri, both of whom
had been practicing physical therapy for a
combined clinical experience of over 40
years.
Always at the forefront of new physical therapy techniques, modalities and ideologies, Sanjay and Alka utilize various techniques emphasizing Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, helping patients to achieve functional goals and maintain an optimal quality of life.
With their hard work and determination, they have gained the trust of patients, referring physicians and community and have expanded their services to meet the needs of the communities in and around St. Clair Shores, Clinton Township and Troy, Michigan.
Since the day of its inception, Mobility Plus Rehab Services has been a staunch supporter of local charities, continuously seeking ways to help, enhance and give back to the community.
About the Founders
Sanjay Rattan is the owner and president of
Mobility Plus Rehab Services, Inc. He is a registered physical therapist with 19 years of experience in treating and managing patients with a variety of various orthopedic, neurological and geriatric conditions. Sanjay is well versed in working with patients of all ages. Sanjay uses numerous treatment techniques and modalities in treating patients, yet considers his strength to be the manual therapy techniques which he uses to treat his patients.
In 1997, Sanjay decided to start his own outpatient physical therapy practice and incorporated Mobility Plus Rehab Services, Inc. With the help and dedication of his hard working and caring staff, Mobility Plus has grown and succeeded in providing exceptional service and quality care to patients at four locations:
Warren,
Troy,
Clinton Township and
St. Clair Shores. Sanjay is committed and dedicated to making a patient’s mobility the first priority.
Alka Khindri Rattan is an orthopedic certified specialist in physical therapy and is the Clinical Director of
Mobility Plus Rehab Services. In 1989,
she graduated from the physical therapy program at the Institute of Physically Handicapped in New Delhi, India and went on to complete the certificate course in manual therapy from the Manual Therapy Institute.
Alka has more than 23 years of experience in treating patients with various orthopedic, neurological and vestibular disorders.
She is also trained in LSVT (Big Therapy) to treat patients with Parkinson's Disease.
She administers Functional Capacity Evaluations out of the
Mobility Plus Warren location.
Alka is committed and dedicated to using manual therapy
techniques along with other treatment techniques to help patients achieve their functional goals.
She is also a member of the professional advisory committee for the physical therapy assistant program at South University, Novi campus.
